McDonald Mariga joined Italian Serie A club Inter Milan on Feb. 1 on a permanent transfer from Parma after he missed out on a move to English Premier League club Manchester City. A statement from Inter said: “Mariga has signed a contract until June 30 2014 and will wear the number 17 jersey.” It was also announced that Inter striker Ludovic Biabiany and midfielder Luis Jimenez have moved to Parma for six months on loan, with the option to make the deals permanent during the summer. Mariga’s signing came shortly after the club agreed to allow Brazilian winger Mancini to leave and join AC Milan on a six-month loan. Mariga joined Parma on a permanent basis in the summer of 2008 and the 22-year-old has played in nine league games with Parma so far this season
